Girls in Action
Meets every Sunday evening from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. in Room 206 (upstairs of Education Building) during the school year (September to May).
Girls in Action (G.A.) is a mission organization comprised of girls from 1st through 6th grade. The girls discover God’s plan and purpose for their lives through the process of learning about, supporting, and doing missions.
The girls work in both small group and large group activities. Group time may include games, mission stories, prayer and other various activities. The fourth meeting of each month, the girls work on World Ventures, an individual achievement plan. A fifth session of a month (happens once a quarter) is used for planning or participating in a ministry project.
There are six World Ventures books that correlate with the continents of the world. Studies range from the life and activities of the native cultures in these various regions to the needs of missionaries also in that region. Upon completing each book, the girls earn a charm bracelet with a charm of the corresponding continents. After completing all six books, they will have a complete bracelet with charms from all the continents.
