My vision is that every member of our church will live a dynamic Christian life exhibited by love and service.  That as a family, we will achieve the highest fulfillment of God’s biblical admonitions.

The Message paraphrases Ephesians 3:20, “God can do anything . . . far more than you could ever imagine or request.  He does it by working His Spirit deeply and gently in us.”  My desire is that all Christians discover the wonderful Spirit of God through the fellowship of our church.  And that through worship, discipleship, and service that we all one day hear from our Lord, “Well done thy good and faithful servant.”

My Testimony
I came to Burk in August of 2002.  I was born in Wichita Falls, Texas and grew up across Red River in Waurika, Oklahoma.  My parents raised me in a Christian home and I could count all my close family as Christians.  The influence of Christ was on me from the very beginning of my life.  I gave my life to Lord during my Freshman year of college at Falls Creek Baptist Youth Camp.  I felt immediately called to ministry and a year after my graduation from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma I began attending Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  I have served as a music minister, youth minister, singles minister, and pastor.  Other churches I have pastored have been First Baptist Church of Bristow, Oklahoma; First Baptist Church of Allen, Oklahoma; and First Baptist Church of Drummond, Oklahoma.
