First Baptist Church of Burkburnett has a rich heritage that goes back over 100 years. From its humble beginnings as Gilbert Missionary Baptist Church in 1880 to today, First Baptist is a church made up of people from all walks of life. We believe all people are special in God's eyes, and everyone is welcome to worship God with us. Through our dynamic worship services, Bible studies, missions, community service and events, we seek to serve and magnify God and to reach out to others.
Our pastor, Bill Liggett, has served First Baptist Church since 2002. His one desire is for First Baptist Church to seek after God, find out where He is working, and join Him in what He is doing.
